Aoba Tono is a gifted high-school volleyball player whose future collapses after a serious knee injury. Silver is a near-future shoujo romance by Yuki Suetsugu combining sports trauma, emotional recovery and a human-android love story. Aoba's identity crisis after losing volleyball forms the emotional foundation of the series, while Gin's gradual awakening to human emotion gives the romance its science-fiction core. The manga was serialized in Bessatsu Friend and remained unfinished after cancellation, with two collected volumes.
