A chance encounter with a mage introduces him to the spirit zone, the foundation of spellcasting, and gives his fascination a concrete goal: becoming a mage himself. In the Kingdom of Tormia, however, magical education is closely guarded by the nobility. Sirone has to earn access to a world that considers his birth a disqualification, then prove that curiosity, hard work, and an unconventional mind can carry him further than inherited status.

The Infinite Mage gives its prodigy protagonist a convincing reason to pursue magic: Sirone loved learning long before he discovered his talent. The spirit zone and the story's analytical treatment of spells make his progress feel like solving problems rather than collecting convenient power-ups. His adoptive family's warmth also matters; the class divide has a personal cost when a boy from a hunter's household enters institutions built for nobles. Academy rivalries, friendship, and increasingly ambitious magical ideas expand that initial conflict without erasing it.
