Synopsis
Mei Nakamura is a quiet high school girl who wants nothing more than to remain unnoticed. One day at a cafe, she is recognized by Shirou, a famous model who remembers her from the days when she worked as a child model. To Mei's surprise, Shirou reveals that he was an enthusiastic fan of hers and urges her to take a photograph with him. His sudden appearance pulls Mei back toward the modeling world she had abandoned, forcing her to reconsider whether she truly wants to disappear into an ordinary life.
Film Girl is a short shoujo romance and coming-of-age story about rediscovering confidence through the fashion and modeling world. Mei begins as a deliberately plain, withdrawn student who has rejected her childhood career, while Shirou is already a successful model and openly admires the version of Mei she is trying to leave behind. Their uneven but energetic relationship gradually pushes her to confront old disappointment, visibility, ambition and the possibility of returning to the stage.
