Synopsis
Gruhorn spent centuries as a magic sword, lending its strength and knowledge to people who became legends: an undefeated knight, a dragon slayer, and even a mercenary king. After a lifetime of making other people great, the sword unexpectedly awakens in the body of a fifteen-year-old first prince infamous for his appalling behavior. His new royal identity is no reward: he inherits a reputation no one trusts and a body that has never lived up to its position. Gruhorn, however, remembers every warrior it helped raise. Determined to write a legend of its own at last, it begins changing the prince’s life from the inside out.
The hook reverses the familiar heroic-sword story. Instead of a chosen swordsman receiving advice from an ancient weapon, the veteran weapon gets a human life and must live with the consequences of its new host’s reputation. Gruhorn has already watched generations of fighters reach greatness, so its confidence comes from experience rather than a sudden gift of talent. The contrast between an unruly teenage prince and the centuries-old will inside him gives the royal fantasy its humor, while the memories of past heroes make every new step toward knighthood feel like a chance to claim something Gruhorn never had for itself.

What it feels like
The central appeal is an ancient mentor finally becoming the protagonist of its own story. The first prince’s public disgrace and Gruhorn’s accumulated combat knowledge create a sharp gap between how the court sees him and what he may be capable of. Romance is not a defining part of the published premise; this is primarily a sword-and-royalty fantasy with possession and reputation reversal at its center.
