Synopsis
Ian Ferkus is the second son of a rural viscount and a third-year student in the academy's swordsmanship department. One morning, he finds a letter he does not remember receiving. It claims to come from seven years in the future, calls Ian a hero, and warns that the world will perish if the future is not protected. When Ian reaches the academy, he discovers that an entire week has disappeared from his memory and that, during that missing time, he defeated a previously unbeaten junior. As events described in the letter begin coming true—including an attack on his friend Emma—Ian can no longer dismiss the message as a prank and begins investigating the future, his missing memories, and the person he is apparently destined to become.
Love Letter From the Future uses a romantic-looking premise as the entry point to an academy mystery with apocalyptic stakes. Ian receives information from a future timeline, but the letters create as many questions as answers: they imply relationships he has not formed yet, predict disasters, and coincide with periods where another version of Ian seems to act through his body. The story balances swordsmanship, magic, school relationships, mystery, and future knowledge around the question of whether Ian can change a ruined future without understanding everything that created it.

What it feels like
Despite its romantic title, the series is driven by mystery, academy fantasy, sword combat, and an approaching apocalypse. The letters from the future give Ian information without giving him certainty: missing memories, altered behavior, future relationships, and attacks predicted by the letters force him to investigate what happened and who he will become.
