Synopsis
Cheon Haesun has spent much of his life being shunned for his unusual appearance, and an unexplained terminal illness seems to leave him with little time. On the day he learns how serious his condition is, monsters attack his neighborhood. His sister sacrifices herself so he can survive. Instead of dying, Haesun awakens as a Poisoner, an extraordinarily rare type of hunter whose poisonous abilities can also heal. In a world where dungeons have appeared and monster hunters are celebrated, the power everyone would expect to be deadly may be his only chance to stay alive. Haesun sets out to understand his altered body and the strange abilities that could turn a lifelong outcast into a formidable hunter.
Most dungeon-hunter stories make their hero stronger by giving him a superior weapon or a conventional healing skill. Poison Eating Healer works with a contradiction: Haesun is already dangerously ill, yet the very substance associated with his illness becomes a source of power. His Poisoner abilities give the action a distinctive twist, as attacks and recovery can involve the same toxic force. The personal cost of his awakening, particularly his sister’s sacrifice, grounds the fights in a reason to survive rather than a simple pursuit of higher ranks.

What it feels like
The appeal is the uncomfortable link between sickness and strength. Haesun does not begin as an admired prodigy: he has been treated as an outsider, and his Poisoner awakening follows a family tragedy. His unusual mixture of poison and healing makes progression interesting even before the next dungeon battle.
