Rather than abandon everything he learned, Yuseong sets out to make his medical knowledge count in this unfamiliar society. His second life places the hard-won judgment of a modern doctor alongside powers that seem to make treatment effortless—and forces him to work out what being a healer really means.

Editorial note

The best joke in this series is also its premise: a brilliant surgeon who has barely had a life outside the hospital ends up somewhere healing magic threatens to make his training seem obsolete. Yuseong's reactions give the story its personality. Instead of a straightforward combat power fantasy, the pleasure comes from watching clinical thinking, practical medical judgment and an isekai's religious rules collide. The setting offers room for miraculous cures, but also for a doctor who knows that skill involves understanding a patient's condition—not simply producing a flash of light.
