Synopsis

Kim Junsu is one of the highest-ranked free-to-play players of Arcane Seoul, a mobile game built to reward anyone willing to spend money. After countless hours of grinding, he finally obtains Cheonma, a powerful character he has wanted for years. But before he can enjoy that victory, a traffic accident sends him into the game itself—not as his prized new character, but as Jeonsa Kim, the ordinary warrior used in the tutorial. He has no rare starting class and no guarantee that he'll survive the monsters and hostile factions around him. What he does have is an encyclopedic knowledge of Arcane Seoul and a body capable of swapping traits without limit. Every encounter becomes a test of how cleverly he can use those borrowed advantages to stay alive.

Editorial note

Trait Hoarder puts a sharp twist on the usual 'gamer trapped inside a game' premise. Junsu does not become the overpowered hero he worked so hard to unlock; he is stuck with one of the weakest, most disposable units in the roster. His edge lies in understanding the systems better than anyone else and exploiting the tutorial warrior's endlessly replaceable traits. The battles reward improvisation and game literacy rather than a single unstoppable skill, making progression feel like a series of tactical decisions instead of a straight climb up the level ladder.
