Han Sang-Ah is the only son and heir of an extremely wealthy family. Since childhood, his mother has drilled one principle into him: a successful future depends on choosing the perfect mate. Her harsh, almost military approach to educating him about women leaves Sang-Ah with a serious aversion to them. At sixteen, after being introduced to a fiancée he has never met, he finally rebels. He leaves home after striking a deal with his mother: he has three years to find a wife of his own choosing. At Chung-sol High School, the handsome and athletic heir quickly discovers that escaping an arranged marriage only throws him into an even more chaotic flood of romantic attention.
Yoo Ah Dok-Jon is a late-2000s Korean school romantic comedy built around an inversion of the usual harem fantasy.
